Dr. Mara Guzzetti worked for 25 years for different companies such as Bayer, Ciba-Geigy, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, BASF, Intertek.
She owns a peculiar excursus, after receiving her a PhD in Human Science from the University of Milan, Italy, Mrs Guzzetti gained a long and international track record of experience in business within the chemical industry. Starting in 1996 in the Diagnostic Division of Bayer in Milan, Italy, she moved later to Ciba-Geigy first in Milan then in Basel, Switzerland, covering different position within Marketing, Sales and later within Ciba Specialty Chemicals managing different locations and laboratories around the world, especially in APAC and EMA both within Ciba and BASF.
Between 2002 and 2010 she was part of a new initiative called Expert Services, which lead to the creation of a new Division purely dedicated to services, which was furtherd span-off from BASF to Intertek and generated a new approach of custom services within the pharma chemical industry.
From 2012 till 2014, Mrs Guzzetti was in charge of a Project between the Government of the UAE and Intertek to upgrade analytical laboratories and drive an Emiratization of competence based in Abu Dhabi.
After returning to Switzerland in 2014 as Operational responsible in Basel, Mrs Guzzetti moved in 2017 to Valsynthese, a SME CDMO focused on high energetic and hazardous chemistry.
