After his international engineering studies, Mr. Marco Pabstmann joined Knauf Gips in Iphofen, Lower Franconia, as a production engineer on June 1, 2008. As an engineer for mining and petroleum/natural gas technology, he initially dealt with the existing processes and was able to realize significant successes in process optimization together with his team by means of selected lean techniques. In 2010, he was appointed plant manager and subsequently, in 2014, plant manager for the entire Iphofen II site. During this time, Mr. Pabstmann intensively dealt with the topic of Lean and in particular with the associated leadership issues. He successfully completed a function-related further education at the St. Gallen Business School and the MBA in Leadership & Human Resources. Since 01 April 2020, he has taken on the position of Technical Director for the Knauf Group Central Europe. His area of responsibility includes 40 Knauf plants in Germany and Austria.
